Teege is the host of a monthly webinar series focused on trending topics in enrollment management and co-hosts the popular Admissions Directors Lunchcast podcast.

After watching colleges and universities focus on the metrics the big ranking organizations want, Teege formed a team to offer a new alternative.  The founding cohort includes 11 institutions sharing four criteria:

  • Attention to social justice and institutional equity
  • Retention rates outpacing their peers
  • Student outcomes demonstrating the value of higher education

2022 Interim Assistant Vice President of Admission, DePauw University

Stepping in to fill a vacancy, Teege joined a highly skilled admissions team in the middle of a cycle to help maximize enrollment results.  Using a data-fueled approach, he identified an area in the admit pool that needed significant development, and led the team towards drastically improving that metric. At the end of the engagement, the team had exceeded their enrollment targets. As part of this appointment, Teege created a comprehensive strategic recruitment plan that included a thorough review of historical data and areas of opportunity in the coming years.

2019 - 2021 Vice President of Enrollment, Carroll University

During his tenure, Teege led a campus-wide Strategic Enrollment Planning process designed to help prepare the University for the challenges of the coming demographic cliff.  His work included managing two recruitment cycles through the worst of covid and transitioning the admissions office to be ready to implement a modern CRM.

2013 - 2019 Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, Northland College

Hired initially as the Director of Admission, Teege developed his trademark recruitment strategy utilizing “three metrics” to predict and increase enrollment results.  Throughout his tenure, he worked closely with faculty, athletics, and the cabinet to understand admissions strategies and trends.  While at Northland, Teege authored three Strategic Recruitment Plans, leading to continued enrollment growth, and in 2017, one of the most successful years the college had seen since the 1990s.

2008 - 2013 Associate Director of Admissions, Lawrence University

Hired as an admissions counselor, Teege worked primarily in the southwest and mid-Atlantic states.  Here he began experimenting with message targeting and segmentation in his yield outreach and began a process of leveraging Nielsen’s market data to identify new territories for the University.  He led the effort to open a new pipeline from New Mexico to Lawrence.
